We are thrilled to announce the release of BISTRO BUDDY Version 2.1.1, packed with exciting enhancements and crucial fixes. Here’s a sneak peek into what’s new:
Enhanced Event Searching
- Date Filters: Our search functionality just got a whole lot smarter! Now, you can effortlessly filter events by Today, Tomorrow, Next 7 Days, Next 30 Days, or even pick your custom date range. Finding the perfect event has never been easier!
- Location Filters: Looking for events nearby? Simply search by zip code and radius, based on your GPS location, to discover events right around the corner.
New Mapping Code Integration
- Google Maps Integration: We’ve supercharged our mapping capabilities with Google Maps! This update not only makes adding addresses a breeze but also boosts our local SEO. Plus, you’ll get seamless driving directions, ensuring you never miss an event.
Event Organizer Business Listing
- Organizer Details: We’re putting a spotlight on the event organizers! The event details page now prominently features the Event Organizer’s business listing, giving you clear insight into who’s behind the scenes.
- Claim Your Event Listing: For events without an organizer attached, you’ll see a Claim Your Event button. Simply click to claim and register a business account. For events with an organizer, head over to the organizer’s business page to claim it. Once verified, you’ll gain access to all the events under that organizer.
Advertising Updates
- Increased Ad Spots: To help cover DDOS mitigation costs, we’ve added more third-party advertising spots on events, deals, community activity streams, news, and food and drink business lists. But don’t worry, we’ve got plans to enhance your experience!
- Ad-Free Experience for Logged-In Users: Right now, ads are turned off for all logged-in users, whether you have a free or paid account. This is a temporary beta feature while we get ready for our new extremely affordable subscriptions that will remove all ads. Just browsing without an account? Create an account and log in to enjoy an ad-free experience during this beta period. We’re also working on a future patch to ensure that paid subscribers enjoy a completely ad-free environment.
New Social Features
- Facebook Comments: We’ve integrated Facebook comments on events, business listings, deals, and videos. Engage with the community and share your thoughts!
