Food Truck Battles 2025 – Epic Drone Footage! | FREE Sample Highlight Reel Local foodies and families fill Wolcott’s Festival Park on Saturday for the Connecticut Food Truck Battles.
Thousands of attendees flocked to Wolcott on Saturday as the Connecticut Food Truck Battles Festival kicked off a weekend of food, fun, and friendly competition. The festival transformed Woodtick Recreation Area into a vibrant culinary carnival with more than 50 food trucks, live music, and food-eating contests drawing enthusiastic crowds.
From slow-cooked BBQ and fried dough to specialties from around the world, vendors offered a mouth-watering array of cuisines. Families strolled through rows of trucks sampling everything from tangy tacos to “best apple fritters ever!!” With free admission for kids and seniors and an affordable $10 ticket for adults, the event became a community hotspot for all ages.
Sights, Sounds, and Flavors on Saturday
Saturday’s festivities hit full throttle by midday. Food trucks lined the park competing for the title of “Best Food Truck” in true battles fashion. Many visitors cast their votes after savoring loaded BBQ brisket fries, Thai ice cream rolls, and more.
Over at the Food Eating Battles Stage, cheers rang out during pizza and hot wing contests. Meanwhile, kids squealed on carnival rides, met animals at the petting zoo, and challenged friends to corn hole games.
Adults relaxed under tents or on picnic blankets, sipping craft brews from two themed beer gardens – an Irish pub and a tropical island bar – while upbeat music kept the party atmosphere alive.
Rocking Entertainment and Community Spirit
The main stage became an ‘80s rock’ time machine with tribute bands like Raise Your Hands and Stairway to Halen performing Bon Jovi and Van Halen classics. Street performers, jugglers, and clean comedians like Tugboat Manny kept all ages entertained between sets.
In the Vendors Village, local artisans sold handmade crafts and gifts, while neighbors bumped into old friends and enjoyed the day together. The community spirit was alive and well throughout the park.
BISTRO BUDDY provided free professional drone footage, photos, and videos throughout the day. The community is encouraged to view and share the highlights online to celebrate this local tradition.Sunday Schedule: Country Vibes & Clear Skies Ahead
