The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, known as the Meyerhoff, has been a cultural landmark in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood since 1982. Home to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, this 2,443-seat venue was named for Joseph Meyerhoff, a philanthropist and arts patron. Designed by Pietro Belluschi, Inc. and Jung/Brannen Associates, its unique architecture includes an oval auditorium and curved surfaces to optimize acoustics, offering an unparalleled auditory experience. The Meyerhoff hosts a wide range of events, from classical concerts to comedy shows, and has featured iconic performers like Aretha Franklin and Jerry Seinfeld. With its spacious lobby and additional rooms, the venue also accommodates private events, receptions, and corporate functions. Decades of world-class performances have established the Meyerhoff as a premier venue for live arts, making it a true cultural treasure in Baltimore.
