Katy Copson Celebrity Bartending Fundraiser
Thu
Apr 27
Katy suffered a seizure last November and underwent emergency brain surgery to remove a 3.5cm tumor from her front temporal lobe. Although the surgery was successful and the tumor was benign, Katy still has a lengthy road to recovery ahead of her. She has had multiple trips to the ER, ambulances, and extensive physical therapy due to paralysis in her foot. The medical bills have become too immense for insurance alone, which is why the event is being organized to help raise funds for her recovery.
The fundraiser will be held at the Irish House Restaurant and Trinity Pub, and a variety of "celebrity" guest bartenders will be serving up delicious beverages. Mick Corduff, owner of the Log Cabin and Delany House restaurant, Stephanie Joyce from the St. Patricks committee of Holyoke, Shane Hall from the National Polish Credit Union, Sheri Boardway, former ICC/Irish House General Manager, members of the Springfield Rifles Rugby Club, and long-time friends Vanessa (Ingham) Flannery, Kalia Furnari, and Melissa Doty will all be taking turns behind the bar. The music for the event will be provided by "County Line Duo," John Stokosa, and friends.
If you are unable to attend the event but still want to support Katy, you can contribute to the GoFundMe link provided. The event is open to the public, and anyone on or off Facebook is welcome to attend. Come join us for a fun-filled evening and show your support for Katy's recovery.
