The 2023 Meriden Daffodil Festival, taking place at Hubbard Park in Meriden, Connecticut on April 29th and 30th, is looking to collaborate with non-profit food vendors to offer a variety of delicious food options for visitors of all ages. Please note that only non-profit food vendors will be accepted and worked with.
On Saturday, April 29th, the festival will start with the shuttle bus service at 8:00 am, and gates will open at 10:00 am. Visitors can enjoy the non-profit food tent, arts and crafts, children’s rides, and business expo throughout the day. Musical entertainment will begin at 11:45 am, followed by the parade at 11:30 am. Shuttle bus service will end at 8:00 pm, and gates will close.
On Sunday, April 30th, the festival will start with the shuttle bus service at 8:00 am, and gates will open at 10:00 am. Visitors can enjoy the non-profit food tent, arts and crafts, children’s rides, and business expo throughout the day. Musical entertainment will begin at 10:45 am, and the festival will end at 5:00 pm when the shuttle bus service will also end, and gates will close.
There is no parking available at the park during the festival weekend, but free parking with free shuttle bus service is offered at the Meriden Mall, Platt High School, and Lincoln Middle School. Visitors with disabilities can park at the Meriden Mall using a disability placard, and they will be transported to the park via accessible vans. The festival is fully accessible, and rides will be provided to those individuals who require additional assistance in an accessible golf cart.
The festival will be cash only, and ATMs will be available at the rides area, in front of the pool, and next to the non-profit food tent. Lost and found will be located at the police command vehicle or the on-site fire department, while restrooms will be available down Greenhouse Road on the left-hand side.
The festival will be held rain or shine, and visitors are encouraged to pack an umbrella in case of rain. Visitors are not allowed to bring bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, or dogs, except for service dogs. Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and beverages, although no alcoholic beverages are allowed.
