Looking for an exciting event to attend with your friends and family? Look no further than the 4th Annual Road 2 Ruin Pintwood Pro Derby at Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, Connecticut on April 22, 2023!

This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with skilled professionals from Race Masters on hand to help weigh cars and keep track of race times. And for the first time ever, the derby will be a family-friendly affair, featuring a special heat just for children's Lego cars.

Adults can choose between a "Quick Build Kit" with pre-cut car blocks or a solid block to carve and create their own car. Both kits include pre-drilled axel holes with easy push-in wheels, but Pinewood Derby Pro Wheels must be used. Cars can be picked up in the Two Roads Company Store anytime during business hours, and those who wish to have their kit mailed can add shipping to their cart before checking out.

Children's entry spots for the Lego race are extremely limited, so act fast to secure your child's spot! Please note that Lego cars are not to keep; they are on loan for race day and must be returned after the race.

The bar will open at 10am, and the race will kick off at noon. Winners of the adult championship heat will receive a Pintwood Pro Derby Trophy, a $50 gift card to Two Roads, and (2) Golden Event Tickets, redeemable at any future event in 2023. Second and third place adult winners will receive (2) Golden Event Tickets and delicious beer. The winner of the children's heat will receive a Pintwood Pro Derby Trophy, and all other children racers will receive a participation ribbon.

To ensure a fair and fun competition, the event organizers have established a few simple race rules. Maximum dimensions are 7" (L) x 2 & 3/4" (W) x 2 & 3/4" (H), and the car must have 3/8" clearance under the body. Maximum weight is 5.0 ounces, and the official race scale used at check-in shall be considered final. Stick-on weights are supplied in the kits, but any weights may be used. The car body must be 1 & 3/4" between the axles. Beginning two hours before the race, only dry materials and lubricants can be applied to the car, and no glue of any kind (including hot glue), paint, marker, or liquid lubricant can be applied 120 minutes prior to racing. All decisions by the inspection committee are final.
