As we honor all those who have bravely served and are currently serving in the United States Military. The Memorial Day Services and Parade, hosted by the New Britain Parks and Recreation Department, promise a day of poignant remembrance and community spirit. ?

Memorial Day Reflection

Memorial Day, as eloquently put by Veterans Commission Chairman Peter Scirpo, is a time for reflection - "to never forget those whose selfless acts provide endless freedom for all citizens in the free world." ?

Memorial Day Parade

The parade will assemble at 5:00 p.m. and start at 6:00 p.m., marching from Burritt and Broad Streets, East on Broad Street, South on Main Street, past Central Park, ending at Franklin Square in front of the New Britain Courthouse.

Participants include local veterans organizations, youth and local organizations, marching bands, and various entertainers, creating a vibrant and heartfelt tribute to our veterans. ?️
