This magical event, set against the picturesque backdrop of Bushnell Park, promises an unforgettable experience filled with music, dance, theater, captivating costumes, masks, and the iconic presence of giant puppets and nature.

What to Expect:

Start your Night Fall adventure early! The event unfolds on the Connecticut State Capitol side of Bushnell Park, nestled between Asylum Avenue, Ford Street, Trinity Street, and Capitol Avenue in downtown Hartford. The grounds open at 2:00 PM, offering a host of activities to delight in. Explore unique wares from community vendors, unleash your inner artist in engaging art workshops, savor delectable treats from local food trucks, and relish in side shows that promise to captivate. Feel free to bring your picnic gear; picnicking is highly encouraged.

Pre-Event Activities:

Leading up to Night Fall, our city comes alive with free art workshops. Collaborating artists engage with the community in various Hartford spaces to craft lanterns that steal the spotlight in the performance's Solstice finale. Join us at the lantern-making table before the show, or volunteer at the Info Table and become part of the final scene's magic!

The Heart of Night Fall:

Born in 2012, Night Fall honors Hartford's park system and neighborhoods by rotating its annual presentation to public park sites throughout the city. This year, we're thrilled to be on the Hartford side of historic Elizabeth Park. Our belief in making arts and parks welcoming, inclusive, and accessible remains unwavering. Night Fall is a gift to all, offered freely and without boundaries.

Getting There & Parking:

Find us on the Connecticut State Capitol side of Bushnell Park, neatly framed by Asylum Avenue, Ford Street, Trinity Street, and Capitol Avenue in downtown Hartford. Parking is available on nearby streets, the Capitol lot, and various paid lots. Additional transportation details can be found on our website.

In the spirit of sustainability, we encourage walking, skating, taking a CT Transit bus, carpooling, biking, or e-scooting to the park. For cyclists, enjoy complimentary bike valet service courtesy of BiCiCo.
