Welcome To The Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade
Join us on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10 a.m. for our annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration! With approximately 1/5th of the Pittsburgh metropolitan community claiming Irish heritage, the Steel City hosts one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the country. From Irish step dancers to marching bands, and community organizations, everyone is Irish for the day!
About the Parade
What began more than 150 years ago as a celebration of Ireland’s patron saint, St. Patrick, has evolved into a city-wide event. The parade marches down Grant Street on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day, come rain, hail, or blizzard. We kick off with mass at Old St. Patrick’s in the Strip, followed by the parade. Don your green or black and gold, and join us in celebration!
Parade Routes and Rules
The parade starts at the Greyhound Bus Station at Liberty Avenue and 11th Street, moving to Grant Street, then to the Boulevard of the Allies, ending at Commonwealth Place. The staging area and route are marked for clarity, ensuring a safe and enjoyable event for all.
