It was so nice to have you guys here, first of all, and I want to thank the crew for doing the very fine filming. I'm not from around here, as you might notice. My name is Gemini—it's fake, it's not a real name, you understand, but it's Google it Gemini in comedy and this face will come up. Isn't that awesome? It took me a long time to do that. I started on the streets of New York City, Central Park West. The Hat was the difference—put it on—that’s why doing this show in a street-type fair is how I started. That’s why he knew I did this. I mean, now I’m doing casinos and theaters and stuff, you know, where I don’t have to run over and fix the volume myself in the middle of the show. There are other people doing that. But it’s awesome to get to talk to the audience and the children. This is all about the families and the kids, and when you see sometimes you could do the best trick, float somebody, cut somebody in half, you let a child hold a bird—they will remember that more than anything else. I had children coming up to me who are big people now, you know, you’re looking up at them, and a man comes over and says, I remember you. You let me hold your bird. And it just sounded weird coming from him when he was a kid, and that’s all he remembers. It’s kind of a nice feeling that somebody remembers me. How long have you been doing this, Gemini? I started back in, oh my God, it’s got to be 1983. Back when comedy was on the boom, when it was funny. Well, I guess it’s still funny, but it matters how you look at it. It’s just you walk a tightrope now with politics being a big part of people getting upset over something that really—if you can’t laugh at something or take it as a little bit of humor, even though it’s out of respectful means, that’s where the world turned to a little bit. That’s why I do puppets so I don’t get in trouble, you understand. That’s the smart thing there. I didn’t want to get in trouble because I say things that—are you allowed to say curse words? Sure. Oh my God, I love this station. Now I can feel myself a little bit. All right, you ready? I’m bringing out somebody. This was the first kid that I hung out with on Flatbush Avenue. I have 42 different puppets, which are all a lot of different people. Many of them are people that I’ve met, people like in my family and stuff, but this one was made of a kid that I used to hang out with. He was the funniest kid on Flatbush Avenue, but every time he would get in trouble, the cops would come around or whatever, and he would just fall asleep and then make like he woke up and he didn’t do nothing. You know what I mean? Here, let me swap you, and he would just hang out. I could show you something that nobody really sees. Each part of his face moves separately. It’s made of wood. It’s awesome. Nobody sees a puppet like this. Watch each piece. Try to do little pieces. Can you see this? I don’t know if you can. Little pieces, watch this one. You understand? It’s all made of wood. It’s all split. I’m using it—it’s hard to do one at a time. Okay, it doesn’t mean anything. This little upper lip thing, watch this. You could be happy and it’s totally mine. His expression can just change, and he could become—you know, but he would fall asleep. Man, fall asleep, and I would go like, you know, guys, the cops are here. You got to get up, you got to get up, and he’d be like, What you doing? I’m just sitting over here. Oh my God. All right, so are we in trouble? No, no, these are filming people. What? Filming? Filming? I’m a star. You’re not a star. All right, we're here. Thank you very much. We just wanted to say hello. I want to stay.
